Well this is a NEW item on the Bristol 1904 Arts social calendar ... kind of ... as it replaces what we used to call Ladies Night. As we have a growing band of women members, we "re-purposed the night", as the new business jargon might say.
Our venue hall looked resplendent in the wonderful decorations provided by a former President, Red Feather Artist, Mark Blackmore with a subtle theme of the Twelve Nights of Christmas - and predictably that was sung on the night with tables having their own verse(s) to contribute.
A Dinner with duck on the menu was a delightful and refreshing change - the whole meal was a delight.
And then the compering, 4 separate piano performance sessions each with different and contrasting styles and genres and the whole company and atmosphere made the whole night a treat and a welcome introduction to set off the coming festivities of Christmas.
As they say ... you had to be there!
