Every year we celebrate our Founder's Day with a Church Service in the Lord Mayor's Chapel (in Park Street, Bristol) that thanks God for the wonderful gift of Music, Art and the Companionship and Fellowship that goes with it.
We also thank our enlightened Founders' that created our Society in 1904 to make all this happen for us, all that time ago.
Both the current Lord Mayor, Cllr. Steve Smith and HM the Queen's High Sheriff of Bristol, Susan Davies very graciously attended our ceremony. The ceremony also included a choir from Bristol 1904 Arts with additional voices of member's wives and partners - a wonderful and spiritual occasion for all.
Following the Church Service, we battled the recent stormy weather, to get back to our '1904' hall to enjoy a prepared afternoon tea with, as Enid Blyton might have said: with lashings of cream and jam!!
Until next year ...
